design event
We know that the world moves fast and we’re invested in keeping up with it. To help you stay up to date, We host classes and workshops focused on building skills in new media, design and technology.
Build a motion activated flashlight, a simple robot or a reactive painting. Find out how to add interactive lighting and motion to your next project.
This workshop will give you a set of tools for building simple interactive objects using RGB LEDs and servo motors. We'll teach you to the basics of building circuits and coding, introducing you to the world of arduino and open source electronics.
This event is an introductory project-based workshop focused on teaching the basics of interactive arduino projects. After this workshop, you'll be able to program LEDs to react to motion and distance.
what you'll learn:
Intro to Arduino + arduino processing
Programming neopixel LEDs
Using sensors
Building circuits
How to work with servo motors
Prototyping for motion
what you'll need to
bring:

KITS
We've put together kits containing all the components you'll need to add interactivity to your next project.
Each kit includes:
1 Arduino UNO R3
1 Ultrasonic sensor
1 Neopixel LED Ring or strip
1 Standard servo motor
1 Breadboard
7 M-F jumper wires
6 M-M jumper wires
All of these components can be found in our Light and Motion Kits or purchased separately at your local electronics shop.
